The goal of the society is to promote the welfare of Ostomates in the Western Bay of Plenty area and to provide the correct information to Ostomates so that they can live long and productive lives and reintegrate into the community.


​The Western Bay of Plenty Ostomy Society Inc. is affiliated to the Federation of New Zealand Ostomy Societies Inc.
​
​Society members are available to visit new or prospective Ostomates either in their homes or in hospital before or after surgery to reassure them that there is a life after surgery and that Ostomates can indeed do anything.
